March has been a bit of an unusual month and at HMS we’re currently taking all reasonable steps to protect our employees whilst keeping busy planning for better days to come. However, we still managed to complete several great projects during the course of the month, some of which included:
Chatsworth House, Derbyshire
We have been lucky enough to work in the stunning grounds of Chatsworth House for several years now, making our contribution to the ongoing renovation and restoration of the formal gardens and Estate in collaboration with S Brown Paving. Our most recent visit included over 600m² of resin bonded paving applied to the Tomb Footpath and a large section to Cascade Crossroad all completed using the Estate’s signature Amber Gold natural aggregate, which blends seamlessly with the surrounding landscaping and architecture. This is now ready to be enjoyed by the thousands of visitors who visit Chatsworth each year, as soon as the house and gardens are able to reopen to the public.
Several schemes have been completed in and around the London and Essex area for CIK Construction, including resin bound paving installations to both private properties and commercial developments during March. With several more projects in the pipeline, we continue to work closely with CIK on numerous installations within the Greater London area.
National Home Builders
HMS has been working on David Wilson, Persimmon and Morris Homes sites, completing ongoing works to driveways, shared access, green space footpaths and amenities in recent weeks. Our Decra®Stone resin bonded paving continues to be a very popular choice for transforming and softening the appearance of large expanses of black-top tarmac, with a wide variety of natural aggregates to choose from to compliment the development and give a great quality finish.
ECL at Kingsbrook, Aylesbury
The vast project of Kingsbrook in Aylesbury comprises of three brand new villages; Oakfield Village, Orchard Green and Canal Quarter. This new community development is being supported by multiple civils companies and national home builders. HMS has attended this site on several occasions throughout its ongoing phase development, most recently to install our traffic calming thermoplastic imprinted paving to crossing areas within a large new access infrastructure on the highway. As works continue we anticipate further visits to support the completion of this highly anticipated project.
As with many companies within our industry, works are currently on hold while we maintain a responsible stance on Government guidelines for the safety of all of us. However we have numerous exciting projects upcoming as soon as we can safely return to normal operations. Watch this space for further schemes to come.
