HMS installed Flex®Paving to the driving range & resin bonded Decra®Stone to a large footpath, which blended with the surrounding green & soft landscaping.
Kilworth Springs DecraStone & FlexRange Paving

Kilworth Springs was built in 1993 but despite its youth, the course has matured quickly and is now widely regarded as one of the Midland’s premier courses. Situated in rural Leicestershire and offering extensive uninterrupted views of beautiful rolling countryside, Kilworth Springs is also one of the best-drained courses in a hundred miles of the area due to it being on an oasis of sand and shale, giving the course a superb quality of turf.

Kilworth Springs is a superbly sculptured links-style course offering all the best features and facilities for a great days golf.  The greens are built to USGA construction standards. The front nine offers a traditional links challenge, whilst the back nine, with its numerous lakes, adds water to the equation.  The championship course measures 6718 yards, and par 72.

With view to maintaining a high level of quality throughout the facility, and not just on the green, HMS has been commissioned on a number of occasions to supply and fit decorative resin based surface finishes to areas of hard standing throughout the Golf Club.

Most recently our installations include an area of specially designed HMS Flexi®Paving; a porous, SUDS compliant super-flexible paving system comprising decorative natural aggregates and environmentally friendly recycled rubber chippings. Flexi®Paving, as you may gather from the name, offers a flexible hard wearing paving solution to areas of hard standing where free-drainage is paramount, but where other types of more traditional hard landscaping may not be feasible or appropriate.

In this instance the surfacing was installed to an area of the driving range used to store equipment, making the need for clean hard standing a priority.

In another prominent area overlooking the green from the clubhouse restaurant, is a large area of footpath which has been sympathetically surface dressed using our 2-4mm Amber Gold resin bonded surfacing system, Decra®Stone. The neutral sandy tones of the super-washed and dried aggregates soften the harsh appearance of the original tarmac, blending with the adjacent greens and soft landscaped areas surrounding the path.

With added slip-resistance under foot, our resin bonded surfacing offers stability in wet and icy conditions, as well as being hard wearing enough to be used by vehicles, lawn mowers and golf buggies!
