2024 Mid-Year Round-Up: Projects and Achievements

As we reach the halfway point of 2024, it's time to reflect on our notable projects and achievements so far.

This year has been busy and rewarding, with significant advancements across various sectors. Here’s a detailed overview of our key projects so far:

Housing Developments

Resin Bonded Pedestrian Access & Driveways: We have successfully implemented resin bonded pedestrian access routes and driveways for Barratt Homes and Morris Homes housing developments, providing durable and aesthetically pleasing solutions for residents.

High Friction Surfacing (HFS) as part of S78 Works and Roundabout Surfacing: Our team has been instrumental in enhancing road safety by laying high friction surfacing and resin bonded roundabout surfacing for a Miller Homes development in Northamptonshire.

Public Open Space (POS) Footpaths at Persimmons Homes Developments: We have installed approximately 4,500m² of the contracted 10,000m² resin bonded paving, providing safe and accessible footpaths for residents.

Luxury Housing Projects: Collaborations with Hurst Homes and Corbyn Developments have seen the installation of resin bound driveways and footpaths, adding a touch of elegance and durability to luxury homes.

ROAD SAFETY AND LOCAL AUTHORITY PROJECTS

FM Conway Road Safety Projects: In various locations across Richmond-upon-Thames and Kingston-upon-Thames, we have contributed to road safety by laying high friction surfacing, enhancing traction, and reducing the risk of accidents.

Hollywood Bowl Blue Anti-Skid Surfacing: We provided coloured high friction surfacing for a pedestrian walkway in Hollywood Bowls car park using blue costed stone and blue resin binder, enhancing pedestrian safety and aesthetics.

Dudley Borough Council Projects: Our team installed resin bound paving to tree pits and pedestrian zones, improving both safety and visual appeal.

Oxford Market Street PedestrianisationHigh friction surfacing was applied as part of the trial for the city centre pedestrianisation project for Oxford City Council, ensuring safer walking conditions.

Kirklees Council: The installation of high friction surfacing in red and buff bauxite at Emley Moor crossroads near Huddersfield, to prevent accidents in this high-danger zone.

Leicester City Council Tree Pits: Installed Salmon Pink bound tree pits to match historic porphyry stones, enhancing the aesthetic of the Greyfriars area in Leicester City Centre.

MAJOR ROAD AND INFRASTRUCTURE PROJECTS

A55 Major Road Repairs for Tarmac: Completed major repairs and resurfacing from J36 to J36A using our Flexi®Screed road repair process, covering 10 miles of road on both sides of the highway.

HEALTHCARE PROJECTS

NHS Nottingham Palliative Care Unit: Installed new resin bound walkways and garden extensions, making outdoor spaces accessible to all patients.

RECREATIONAL AND PRIVATE PROJECTS

Bellway Homes in Colchester: Laid EPDM rubber mulch surfacing for a new playground and outdoor gym, enhancing recreational spaces.

Café outdoor seating area in Market Harborough: Installed resin bound paving for an outdoor seating area for The Settling Rooms.

Chatsworth House: Amber Gold resin bonded paving to footpaths within the grounds and sculpture gardens of Chatsworth House. It’s an ongoing commitment of the estate to improve the grounds and match the historic charm of the grounds and Chatsworth stone.

Cannock Chase Life-Funded Initiative: Liad resin bonded paving for cycle lane demarcation as part of an initiative to promote bike safety amongst children.

Private Driveway Installations: Numerous installations of bound and bonded paving for private driveways, enhancing property aesthetics and functionality.
