HMS Decorative Surfacing has been appointed by Dragonfly Development Ltd and DJ Newberry Construction to deliver over 2,500m² of resin paving at Roseland Park Crematorium, located alongside Shirebrook Cemetery in Mansfield.
The project, commissioned by Bolsover District Council and Shirebrook Town Council, aims to reduce waiting times and travel distances for bereaved families within the local community.
As part of the works, HMS Decorative Surfacing will install high-quality resin bound and resin bonded paving to create durable footpaths, courtyards and peaceful garden areas for visitors. The specialist surfacing has been selected for its low-maintenance, slip-resistant and long-lasting properties, while the porous resin bound system is designed to minimise standing water by allowing natural drainage.
Sustainability is a key focus of the project, with the SuDS-compliant resin bound paving supporting the Council’s ambitions to enhance biodiversity through environmentally conscious construction, including the integration of green spaces and natural landscaping.
The scheme will also feature four complementary paving colours to clearly define gardens, pathways and access routes, while enhancing the site’s modern red-brick architecture and surrounding natural setting.
We’re looking forward to starting this project in the next couple of weeks. Like and follow our socials for updates.
