We work regularly with a number of national and private house builders and developers to help them to fulfill their specification on new developments.
Our resin bound and resin bonded paving can help to support design specifications in a number of ways, however the most popular briefs are centred on the following:
Porous Paving for SUDS Compliancy:
In line with the government guidelines for sustainable urban drainage, reducing stress on mains drainage and reduce standing water and surface flooding is a requirement. Many new developments are required to provide a permeable surface as part of their hard-landscaping plan, essentially creating hard landscaping which behaves like soft landscaping, allowing water to naturally flow back into the ground and/or water table without further reliance on existing provision.
When applied to a fully porous (SUDS compliant) base build-up of either permeable tarmac or granular construction, our resin bound Decra®Set paving is a fully porous system, compliant with SUDS requirements and associated planning conditions. Available in a wide range of colours and finishes, and suitable for both pedestrian and moderate vehicle use, our contemporary natural-stone bound paving is widely used by many of our housing and urban development clients.
Resin Bonded Paving for Aesthetics and Slip Resistance:
Decra®Stone resin bonded surfacing is a great, budget friendly option for not only dramatically improving the appearance of areas of black tarmac which can be stark and oppressive, but also adds extra slip resistance for both pedestrian and vehicle traffic. Suitable for use on all types or hard landscaping, our resin bonded surfacing can be successfully applied to new or existing tarmac or concrete surfacing without the need to excavation or expensive preparation.
The epoxy based binder adds extra protection to the substrate, extending the life of the base material whilst the natural aggregate dressing creates a stunning decorative finish. It is available in a wide variety of colours and compatible with line marking and other ancillary products. Both resin systems are commonly used for driveways, shared access, communal and recreational spaces by well-known developers such as Morris Homes, David Wilson and Lindum Homes. HMS has also completed several schemes for private developers such as Collinwood Developments, WIBB Builders, Cadeby Homes and Mercer Builders in recent months
