Weather wise May has been a tricky month – we have seen some of the wettest and coolest days on record, coupled with a drastic decrease in resin material availability! Luckily, at HMS we offer services than just outdoor resin flooring – namely resin bound and bonded surfacing…
In line with our more recent promotions and blog posts, May has been a good opportunity to catch up on our joint sealing and over-banding projects, as it is significantly less sensitive to poor weather, and can be completed on a 24 hour programme to mitigate against traffic disruption.
Typically completed on behalf of local authorities nationwide, May has seen several weeks’ worth of road repairs in various formats being completed on behalf of Leicester City Highways and Leicestershire County Council including city centre works, residential areas and commercial schemes throughout the borough.
Available in a high PSV finish and HAPAS/BBA approved product our Flexi®Range is the optimum repair solution for cracking, fretting, jointing and potholes on asphaltic and concrete carriageways and footpaths, reducing the need for costly resurfacing and disruptive traffic management schemes.
Between the showers we have managed to complete a few other small projects including:
- Green high friction surfacing to bus demarcation in Birmingham on Behalf of Balfour Beatty and Telford and Wrekin Council
- Decra®Stone resin bonded surfacing to footpath regeneration in Telford on Behalf of McPhillips
- Resin bonded surfacing repairs to New Walk in Leicester City, and several other decorative repairs in and around the city centre.
As we’re now heading into June, we’re quietly confident that the weather will start to improve and that we will have the opportunity to complete some of our resin surfacing tasks that are piling up!
