July has been a busy month for the team here at HMS. Although things are still relatively far from normal within our industry on the whole, we’re pleased to say that we have managed to successfully and most importantly safely, complete a number of schemes throughout the month for both new and existing clients…
Warner Brothers Studios, Watford
We were asked to support Breachwood Landscapes to support them in the installation of EPDM safety surfacing within a new development on the Warner Brothers Studios lot. EPDM surfacing is ideal for application to children’s play equipment, parks, and areas conforming to critical height safety surfacing requirements. Concisely specified to ensure optimum performance, Decra-Play by HMS is available in a wide spectrum of colours and available for nationwide installation. More news to come on this project soon!
Thames Cycle Network, Greenwich Peninsula
Working with our regular client and surfacing contractor CIK Construction, HMS returned to Greenwich Peninsula this month for a further 500m installation of Butterscotch resin bound paving. This was for the dedicated footpath section of the Thames Cycle Network which runs along the path of the Thames through Morden Wharf and Cutty Sark. This work is a continuation of a project we have been working on for several years, and it’s great to see how the development continues to take shape each time we visit. With unrivalled views of the Thames and Canary Wharf, this site is the perfect setting for our premium porous resin paving system.
New Walk, Leicester City
In line with our long-standing term maintenance agreement with Leicester City Highways, HMS returned over the course of several days to make much needed repairs to New Walk, the historic and listed pedestrian only route from Victoria Park in to the City centre. With the ever present requirement for all types of maintenance and repair works within the city, HMS offers a specialist team of installers to aesthetically make good all sorts of damaged surfacing. This includes utility trenches, new and removed street furniture, accidental damage and any other repairs that may be required to keep the decorative areas of the city looking their best. Our Amber Gold resin bonded paving has been a staple Leicester City product for many years due to its natural finish, plentiful availability unrivalled longevity in a commercial/public environment.
As we head into August our diary is looking very busy with several different projects both large and small – look out for further updates!
