“It is around 10 months since RSD was established and despite all the challenges of Covid-19, the growth and development of the business has exceeded all expectations. Since spring the business has been doubling in size each month, with September breaking sales records to date!
The high demand for RSD products is thanks to the customers making the switch to RSD. We are proud to be supporting the majority of local installers within a 50-100 miles radius of our East Midlands HQ in North Kilworth, Leicestershire. We’re also grateful that thanks to their clear endorsement and word of mouth, the number of customers we have is growing every week as more people look to RSD to supply their resin and aggregate needs.
Once on board, our priority is customer satisfaction; we want our customers to stay with us so we offer the best products and services and ensure we are easy to do business with.
As we help end users with colour selection the footfall of general public through our trade counter continues to increase dramatically, thus making it easier for installers who can continue with their business while we help their customers choose their stone colour. The Super 6 range of aggregates is proving very popular and is simplifying the selection process for installers and their customers and helping to keep the investment cost down.
We are further enhancing the choice available by offering ‘on the spot’ bespoke colour mixing if the customer’s choice is not shown, mixing any colour or blend straightaway.
As the business continues to grow, we have recently invested in a new 200m2 hanger for aggregate storage. With our customer’s requirements front of mind, we feel it’s essential to keep our premium dried aggregate protected from the elements so that we can guarantee the quality for our installers. We continue towards our goal of zero wet bags and the hanger will ensure that neither sun nor rain will damage pallet hoods or wrappings.
We have also taken significant steps in our packaging to help reduce Network pallet damage whilst goods are in transit. It is a unique feature of RSD that transported pallets includes a fork location/ warning band around the base of the pallet to help draw attention to a forklift operator. Since introducing this measure, we have seen a substantial decrease in pallet damage.
It’s great to see our customers are taking full advantage of our flexibility. In some cases, we have been able to turn around orders within the hour, allowing better flexibility for our installers when planning work around the British weather. The RSD team looks forward to welcoming you onsite, or via our online system soon”. Dave Embley.
