‘Decra-stone’ is a low maintenance exposed aggregate ‘bonded-gravel’ surface which is designed for trafficking and to enhance the appearance of any locality.
‘Decra-stone’ is a hand applied system, ensuring that access to the most complex of sites is achievable. The ‘Decra-stone’ binder is a high tensile strength, two component thermosetting resin which is designed to bond the selected aggregate and the system to the substrate in one simple process.
HMS has a wide range of commercially available natural aggregates in the UK and a selection of imported materials that cannot be sourced locally. The final choice of aggregate depends on the degree of trafficking and the gradient of the site, as well as the requirements for the aesthetics of the surroundings.
‘Decra-stone’ is a hard wearing and is a fully trafficable surface. The resins are formulated by manufacturers who have the experience of the installing high friction resin based surfacing onto the highest stress sites in the UK.
‘Decra-stone’ can be laid on any sound constructed surface in good condition, however, concrete, steel and timber will require additional preparation and a site inspection is preferred. Aggregates offering high skid resistance are also available.
